Brazil
From May 1997 to May 1999 I served an LDS mission in Brasil Belo Horizonte. The work grew into district and zone leadership. Places like Varginha and Sete Lagoas still sit in memory as texture, not a checklist — streets, people, Portuguese that became habit, and a younger version of myself learning how to show up.
In August 2026 Mandy and I return to Brazil after about 27 years: people, place, a temple dedication, and a mission reunion. The point is reconnection, not a pitch. Faith community is part of that picture for me, including the long Brazil thread — people I served with, places that stayed with me, and walking them again with Mandy.
Album
The Brazil album we pulled for this site held a single photograph. We are keeping the gallery small on purpose — story first, more pictures when the return fills the roll. Until then, the prose carries the weight: mission years, then homecoming with Mandy.
Based in Salt Lake County now. Brazil remains a long arc in our story — less a destination to perform than a set of relationships to keep.
